When you leave home, and if you have guns in one of your rooms, be sure that the access to it is impossible to do. Kids can easily stumble on things by chance and if they happen to find guns while you’re out and about, they will want to hold and play with it. Find a way to let the kids know that guns are not toys. Stress to them that it can and should only be used responsibly and when the situation calls for it.
